BioFrontier SC

An open hexbin atlas of where nobody has looked yet. It ranks biodiversity survey gaps across Santa Catarina, so a student or a lab can find the places most likely to hold something unrecorded.

69,290
occurrence records
7,616
species
2,396
localities ranked

Records from GBIF and iNaturalist are deduplicated across sources and binned into H3 cells. Each cell gets a frontier score from survey effort, observer count and habitat. People in the field can send observations back, and a record counts once two others independently agree on it.

Next.js · TypeScript · H3 · Leaflet · Supabase · PT / EN / ES · MIT

Santa Catarina drawn as 5,852 hexagonal cells. Surveyed cells glow blue, densest along the coast; much of the interior is empty outlines.
Unsurveyed -> most records. 5,852 cells, the atlas's own data.

Integrated Hydroponics Farm System

Continuous monitoring for a hydroponic farm, from the sensor on the tank to the screen in the grower's hand. EC, pH, temperature and humidity, read constantly so a problem is caught before it costs a harvest.

  1. Controller

    C++ · ESP32 · PlatformIO

Reads the sensors and publishes over MQTT.

    Source
  2. Ingestion

    Python · MQTT · MongoDB

Persists the stream of readings as it arrives.

    Source
  3. API

    NestJS · Prisma · DDD

The back end, built on clean architecture.

    Source
  4. App

React · React Query · Tailwind

The grower's view of the farm.

    Source
  5. Infrastructure

    Docker · Compose · Shell

Brings the whole system up in one step.

Rei, a theme for Omarchy

One muted blue against true black, taken from Rei Ayanami's hair and eyes, with gradient window borders driven straight from the palette file. This site is set in the same colours and the same typeface.

An Omarchy desktop in the Rei theme: a blue-lit anime wallpaper behind a terminal showing system information in blue on black.

Work with me

I take a few paid engagements alongside my own projects: building an application, keeping one running, or fixing one specific problem. You get a written scope and price before any work starts.

Build

An application, end to end

Back end, front end, infrastructure and deploy, from a written scope. When the scope is not clear yet, we start with a short paid discovery.

Fixed price per scope
Maintain

A system kept running

Updates, monitoring, small features and the bug nobody else will touch, from a block of hours each month.

Monthly hours, billed in advance
Fix

One problem, solved

A bug, a slowdown, a broken integration. I find the cause and fix it, or tell you exactly what fixing it takes.

Hourly, 2-hour minimum

Quotes in US dollars, paid by PayPal; in reais by Pix for clients in Brazil. A deposit starts the work.
